Janet devotes her time to writing prose, short fiction, and plays. One of her recent feature articles is set to be published in On The Bay magazine. In 2018, her short story “Breathless” won second prize in the Toronto Star’s prestigious Short Story Contest, and her micro-story “Over Dinner” was featured in 101 Words in 2024. Since 2017, Janet has been writing one-act plays for Collingwood’s Gaslight Community Theatre, where she also produces the theatre’s Page-to-Stage scene-writing workshops and co-instructs its Playwriting Experience program.
